2022-23 Dancer series

This is a series of acrylic paintings on canvas and hand colored photographs has evolved from my years of figure drawing and photography.  I have drawn the human figure every week for over 50 years and the figure has been the main focus of my photography for over 20 years.  Although my painting has been  mostly abstract for many years, I have searched to find a way to integrate the figure.  A recent series of Drawing/Photo Montages in which life drawings are digitally merged with photographs has that led to photographing and drawing dancers and now to this series.  The series is still very much evolving and I am excited to see where it leads.
